Amend CSHB 1 (house committee printing) as follows:

(1)  Under the Article XI appropriations to the Historical Commission (pages XI-2 and XI-3), add the following appropriately numbered rider:

____. Kleberg County Courthouse Preservation. In addition to other amounts appropriated by this Act to the Historical Commission for the purposes of Article I, Strategy A.1.3, Courthouse Preservation, the amount of $3,000,000 is appropriated out of the general revenue fund for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2016, and the amount of $3,000,000 is appropriated out of the general revenue fund for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2017. The additional amounts appropriated under this provision may be used solely to renovate the Kleberg County Courthouse.

(2)  Adjust the Article I Subtotal (page XI-3) under Article XI accordingly.
