Amend CSHB 1 (house committee printing) as follows:

(1)  Under the Article XI provisions relating to the Health and Human Services Commission (page XI-6), add the following appropriately numbered provision:

____.  Reimbursement of Certain Ambulance Service Providers Under Medicaid Program. Contingent on the enactment and becoming law of HB 2773 or similar legislation of the 84th Legislature, Regular Session, 2015, relating to the reimbursement rate for ambulance services provided to persons enrolled in the Medicaid managed care program, and in addition to amounts otherwise appropriated by this Act for that purpose, an amount sufficient to reimburse providers of ambulance services to Medicaid managed care enrollees at the rate provided by that legislation is appropriated out of the general revenue fund to the Health and Human Services Commission for the state fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2017, to be used to provide those reimbursements at that rate.

(2)  Adjust the article totals and methods of financing accordingly.
