Amend CSHB 1 (house committee printing) as follows:

(1)  Under the Article XI provisions for the Texas Education Agency (page XI-7), in the provision for "School Districts in Region One":

(A)  strike "School Districts in Region One" and substitute "Computer Science Development Pilot Program".

(B)  strike "$50,000" and substitute "$90,000".

(2)  Under the Article XI provisions for the Texas Education Agency (page XI-7), add the following appropriately numbered rider:

____. Contingent Appropriation: Computer Science Development Pilot Program. Contingent on the enactment and becoming law of HB 3700 or similar legislation of the 84th Legislature, Regular Session, 2015, relating to the establishment of a pilot program in certain school districts to develop computer science education and professional development opportunities, and in addition to other amounts appropriated by this Act for the purpose, the amount of $45,000 is appropriated from the general revenue fund to the Texas Education Agency for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2016, for the purpose of establishing and operating the pilot program, and the additional amount of $45,000 is appropriated from the general revenue fund to the Texas Education Agency for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2017, for the same purpose.

(3)  Adjust the article totals and methods of financing accordingly.
