Amend CSHB 1 (house committee printing) in Article XI of the bill by adding the following appropriately numbered rider under the appropriations to the Texas Forest Service (page XI-13) and renumbering subsequent riders accordingly:

____.  Volunteer Fire Department Training and Equipment. In addition to other amounts appropriated under this Act to the Texas Forest Service, the amount of $20 million is appropriated out of general revenue account 5064, volunteer fire department assistance fund, for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2016, and the amount of $20 million is appropriated out of that account for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2017, to the Texas Forest Service for the purpose of providing training and equipment to volunteer fire departments in this state.
