Amend CSHB 1 (house committee printing) as follows:

(1)  Under the Article XI appropriations to the Department of Public Safety (pages XI-16 through XI-17), add the following appropriately numbered rider:

____.  Body Worn Camera Programs. In addition to other amounts appropriated by this Act to the Department of Public Safety, the amount of $50,000,000 is appropriated out of the general revenue fund for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2016, and the amount of $50,000,000 is appropriated out of the general revenue fund for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2017, to the department for grants to local law enforcement agencies for operating body worn camera programs.

(2) Adjust the Article V subtotal (page XI-17) accordingly.
