Amend CSHB 1 in Article II, following the appropriations to the Department of Family and Protective Services, by inserting the following appropriately numbered contingent rider:

____.  Contingent Rider: Money for Searchable Child-Care Facility Database. (a) This rider is contingent on the enactment of HB 1180 or similar legislation by the 84th Legislature, Regular Session, 2015, that becomes law.

(b)  It is the intent of the legislature that, out of the money appropriated above to the Department of Family and Protective Services in Strategy E.1.1: CHILD CARE REGULATION, the department allocate for the state fiscal biennium beginning September 1, 2015, an amount sufficient to implement changes to the department's searchable child-care facility database.
