Amend CSHB 1 as follows:

(1)  On page I-63 after the bill pattern of the Historical Commission add the following new rider:

____. Texas State Almanac Grant. Out of funds appropriated above in Strategy A.3.1, Evaluate/Interpret Resources, the Historical Commission may enter into a contract of no more than $500,000 in fiscal year 2016 with a non-profit organization for the purpose of developing and producing a Texas State Almanac. The Texas State Almanac shall be available to the general public and provide information on the history of Texas, its people, government and politics, economics, natural resources, holidays, culture, education, recreation, the arts, and other related topics.
