Amend CSHB 1 in Article II, following the appropriations to the Health and Human Services Commission, by inserting the following appropriately numbered contingent rider:

____. Contingent rider: Money for peer specialists, peer services, and the provision of those services. (a) This rider is contingent on the enactment of HB 1541 or similar legislation by the 84th Legislature, Regular Session, 2015, that becomes law.

(b) It is the intent of the legislature that, out of the money appropriated above to the Health and Human Services Commission in Strategy B.1.2. MEDICAID DISABILITY-RELATED ELIGIBILITY GROUP, the commission allocate $1,607,438.00 for the state fiscal biennium beginning September 1, 2015, for the purpose of establishing certified peer specialists as approved providers of peer services under the Medicaid program.
