Amend CSHB 11 by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTIONS to the bill and renumbering the remaining SECTIONS of the bill as appropriate:
SECTION ____. Subchapter A, Chapter 411, Government Code, is amended by adding Section 411.0101 to read as follows:
Sec. 411.0101. ASSISTANCE TO CERTAIN LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES ALONG TEXAS-MEXICO BORDER. The department shall provide law enforcement assistance to the sheriff's department of a county along the Texas-Mexico border on a formal request for assistance from the commissioners court of the county.
