Amend CSHB 11 (house committee printing) by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill as appropriate:
SECTION ____. Section 2155.137, Government Code, is amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
(c) Notwithstanding any other law, the Department of Public Safety must use competitive bidding, whether formal or informal, in making an equipment purchase that exceeds $100,000.
