System updates will be applied on February 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM. These updates will include changes to the user interface. Work is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete, during which the site will be unavailable.
Amend HB 996 (house committee printing) on page 2, immediately following added Section 2269.0541(a), Government Code, by inserting the following:
(a-1) Notwithstanding Subsection (a)(1), a municipality with a population of 700,000 or more may require a person bidding on a public work contract, including a contractor or subcontractor, to enter into or adhere to an agreement with a collective bargaining organization relating to the public work contract.
