Amend CSHB 1690 (house committee printing) as follows:

(1)  On page 4, line 9, strike "(b)" and substitute "(c)".

(2)  On page 4, line 9, strike "natural person" and substitute "state officer".

(3)  On page 4, between lines 11 and 12, insert the following:

(b)  Notwithstanding any other law, if the defendant is a state employee, venue for a prosecution under this subchapter is the county in which the conduct constituting the offense against public administration occurred.

(4)  On page 4, line 12, strike "(b)" and substitute "(c)".
