Amend CSHB 1690 (house committee printing) on page 4 of the bill, between lines 22 and 23, by inserting the following:

Sec. 41.359.  PROSECUTION OF OFFENSES BY COUNTY OR DISTRICT ATTORNEY. Nothing in this subchapter shall be construed to limit the authority of a county attorney, district attorney, or criminal district attorney to investigate and prosecute offenses against public administration that occur within the jurisdiction of that prosecuting attorney.
