Amend CSHB 1690 (house committee printing) as follows:
(1) On page 2, following line 27, insert the following:
(c) A prosecutor to whom a complaint has been referred under Section 41.353(b) and who has, either currently or in the past, a financial or other business relationship with the defendant must request that the court with jurisdiction over the complaint permit the prosecutor to be recused from the case for good cause. If the court approves the request, the prosecutor shall be considered disqualified.
(2) On page 3, line 1, strike "(c)" and substitute "(d)".
(3) On page 3, line 2, between "(b)" and ",", insert "or (c)".
(4) On page 3, line 7, strike "(d)" and substitute "(e)".
(5) On page 3, line 11, strike "(e)" and substitute "(f)".
(6) On page 5, line 6, strike "41.354(c)" and substitute "41.354(d)".
