Amend CSSB 11 (senate committee report) as follows:
(1) In SECTION 1 of the bill, in added Section 411.2031, Government Code (page 2, between lines 9 and 10), insert the following:
(h) This section does not permit a person to possess a concealed handgun, or go with a concealed handgun, on the portion of the premises of the Texas Medical Center that is owned or operated by an institution of higher education if the institution gives effective notice under Section 30.06, Penal Code, with respect to that portion.
(2) In the recital to SECTION 4 of the bill (page 3, line 6), strike "(j) and (k)" and substitute "(j), (k), and (l)".
(3) In SECTION 4 of the bill, in amended Section 46.03, Penal Code (page 3, between lines 64 and 65), insert the following:
(l) Subsection (a)(1)(B) does not permit a person to possess a concealed handgun, or go with a concealed handgun, on the portion of the premises of the Texas Medical Center that is owned or operated by an institution of higher education if the institution gives effective notice under Section 30.06 with respect to that portion.
