Amend CSSB 11 (senate committee report) as follows:
(1) In SECTION 1 of the bill, in added Section 411.2031(b), Government Code (page 1, line 36), strike "A" and substitute "Except as otherwise provided by this section, a".
(2) In SECTION 1 of the bill, in added Section 411.2031, Government Code (page 2, between lines 9 and 10), insert the following:
(h) This section does not permit a license holder to carry a concealed handgun on the campus of an institution of higher education or private or independent institution of higher education if the campus is shared with a primary or secondary school and has been shared with a primary or secondary school continuously since January 1, 1995.
(3) In the recital to SECTION 4 of the bill (page 3, line 6) strike "Subsections (j) and (k)" and substitute "Subsections (j), (k), and (l)".
(4) In SECTION 4 of the bill, in amended Section 46.03, Penal Code (page 3, between lines 64 and 65), insert the following:
(l) Subsection (a)(1)(B) does not permit a person to possess a concealed handgun, or go with a concealed handgun, on the premises of an institution of higher education or private or independent institution of higher education if those premises are shared with a primary or secondary school and have been shared with a primary or secondary school continuously since January 1, 1995.
