Amend CSSB 11 (senate committee report) as follows:

(1)  In SECTION 1 of the bill, in added Section 411.2031, Government Code (page 2, between lines 9 and 10), insert the following:

(3)  In the recital to SECTION 4 of the bill (page 3, line 6), strike "(j) and (k)" and substitute "(j), (k), and (l)".

(4)  In SECTION 4 of the bill, in added Section 46.03(j), Penal Code (page 3, line 58), after the underlined period add "This subsection expires September 1, 2019.".

(5)  In SECTION 4 of the bill, in added Section 46.03(k), Penal Code (page 3, line 64), after the underlined period add "This subsection expires September 1, 2019.".

(6)  In SECTION 4 of the bill, in amended Section 46.03, Penal Code (page 3, between lines 64 and 65), insert the following:

(l)  Notwithstanding Subsection (a)(1)(B), on or after September 1, 2019, a person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly possesses or goes with a concealed handgun that the person is licensed to carry under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, on the premises of an institution of higher education or private or independent institution of higher education, on any grounds or building on which an activity sponsored by the institution is being conducted, or in a passenger transportation vehicle of the institution, unless pursuant to written regulations or written authorization of the institution.

(7)  In SECTION 5 of the bill, in added Section 46.035(l), Penal Code (page 3, line 69), after the underlined period add "This subsection expires September 1, 2019.".
