System updates will be applied on February 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM. These updates will include changes to the user interface. Work is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete, during which the site will be unavailable.
Amend CSSB 149 (senate committee printing) in SECTION 3 of the bill as follows:
(1) Following added Section 28.0258(c-1), Education Code (page 2, between lines 15 and 16), insert the following:
(c-2) A school district shall provide an appropriate translator, if available, for the appropriate person described under Subsection (b)(4) who is unable to speak English.
(2) Strike added Section 28.0258(d), Education Code (page 2, lines 16-24), and substitute the following:
(d) The school district shall ensure a good faith effort is made to timely notify the appropriate person described under Subsection (b)(4) of the time and place for convening the individual graduation committee and the purpose of the committee. The notice must be:
(1) provided in person or by regular mail or e-mail;
(2) clear and easy to understand; and
(3) written in English, in Spanish, or, to the extent practicable, in the native language of the appropriate person described by Subsection (b)(4).
