Amend SB 709 on third reading by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:
SECTION ____. Subchapter F, Chapter 5, Water Code, is amended by adding Section 5.240 to read as follows:
Sec. 5.240. NOTICE OF DRAFT PERMIT. Notwithstanding any other law, not later than the 30th day before the date the commission issues a draft permit for any license, permit, or authorization under the authority of the commission, the executive director shall provide written notice to the state senator and state representative of the area in which the facility that is the subject of the permit is located.
