Amend CSSB 714 (senate committee report) as follows:
(1) In SECTION 1 of the bill, in amended Section 542.2035, Transportation Code (page 1, between lines 43 and 44), insert the following:
(c) For the purposes of this section, "local authority" includes a school district, a governmental agency that provides services to a school district, and an intermediate educational agency.
(2) In SECTION 5 of the bill, in added Section 707.020, Transportation Code (page 2, line 26), strike "or a political subdivision of the state" and substitute ", a school district, a governmental agency that provides services to a school district, an intermediate educational agency, or another political subdivision of the state".
