Amend CSSB 1735 (senate committee printing) in SECTION 1 of the bill, in amended Section 54.341(l), Education Code (page 3, line 31), between the underlined semicolon and "and", by inserting the following appropriately numbered subdivision and renumbering subsequent subdivisions of Section 54.341(l), Education Code, and any cross-references to those subdivisions, accordingly:
( ) no later than the last class date of each semester or other academic term to which the exemption would apply, perform at least 20 hours of community service approved by the Texas Veterans Commission for purposes of this subdivision;
