Amend SB 2065 (house committee report) on page 2, between lines 3 and 4, by inserting the following appropriately numbered section to proposed Subchapter G, Chapter 2, Family Code:
Sec. 2.____. RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION AUTONOMY PROTECTED. This subchapter does not create a cause of action. A court shall defer to the highest ecclesiastical authority of the relevant religious organization on all ecclesiastical matters.
