Amend SJR 22 (senate committee printing) in SECTION 1 of the resolution, at the end of added Section 34, Article I, Texas Constitution (page 1, between lines 28 and 29), by inserting the following:
(d) This section does not affect the power of the legislature to authorize a municipality to regulate the discharge of a weapon in a populated area in the interest of public safety.
