AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
Interested parties contend that due to the continuous innovation of technology and constantly changing channels of information and communication, it is important to ensure that all state agencies are up to date with the various forms of Internet browsers that may be used by the public. H.B. 855 requires agency websites to be accessible by the three most commonly used Internet browsers and by wireless communication devices, for example iPads and Android phones.
H.B. 855 amends current law relating to the compatibility of state agency websites with certain devices and Internet browsers.
