AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
H.B. 1052 amends the current designation for Texas Hydrocephalus Awareness Month from October to September. This will allow Texas Hydrocephalus Awareness Month to coincide with the National Hydrocephalus Awareness Month. Hydrocephalus is characterized by the abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluids in the ventricles of the brain and affects an estimated one million Americans.
H.B. 1052 amends current law relating to designating September as Hydrocephalus Awareness Month.
RULEMAKING AUTHORITY
SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS
SECTION 1. Amends Section 662.106(a), Government Code, to change a reference to October to September for the month designated as Hydrocephalus Awareness Month.
SECTION 2. Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2015.
