BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

Interested parties point to the selfless service of Deputy Sergeant Lance McLean, who was recently killed in the line of duty as he responded to a disturbance call. These parties call for a special designation to be made in honor of Deputy Sergeant McLean's sacrifice and his service to the State of Texas. C.S.H.B. 1755 seeks to honor the memory of Deputy Sergeant Lance McLean.
