AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

 

Interested parties note that the Refugio County Drainage District No. 1 separated from Refugio County over a decade ago, making certain statutory provisions relating to the compensation and reimbursement expenses of the district's board of directors ambiguous and obsolete.

 

H.B. 4148 repeals Chapter 708, Acts of the 65th Legislature, Regular Session, 1977, providing for the compensation of and reimbursement of travel expenses for commissioners of the Refugio County Drainage District No. 1.

 

H.B. 4148 amends current law relating to compensation and reimbursement of expenses for the board of directors of the Refugio County Drainage District No. 1.

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.

 

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1. Repealer: Chapter 708 (providing for the compensation of and reimbursement of travel expenses for commissioners of the Refugio County Drainage District No. 1 of Refugio County, Texas), Acts of the 65th Legislature, Regular Session, 1977.

 

SECTION 2. Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2015.
