BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

Interested parties report that the Galveston County Municipal Utility District No. 35, which is located within the corporate boundaries of the City of League City in Galveston County, is currently authorized to provide certain services to land located within district boundaries. The parties note the need to amend the powers of the district to include the power to undertake certain road projects. H.B. 4188 seeks to address that need.
