AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
Education Code, Section 61.501 (Definitions), Subsection (1) defines "medical school" for the purposes of medical residency programs. By 2017, several new medical education programs will begin operation in Texas. S.B. 1466 amends the definition to include new medical education programs in Texas and to update the names of existing programs.
As proposed, S.B. 1466 amends current law relating to the definition of medical schools for medical residency programs.
