A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the issuance of specialty license plates for certain |
|
|
county officials. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

|
SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 504, Transportation Code, |
|
|
is amended by adding Section 504.4051 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 504.4051. CERTAIN COUNTY OFFICIALS. (a) In this |
|
|
section, "county official" means a person who currently serves in |
|
|
an elected county office, other than a person elected by precinct. |
|
|
(b) The department shall issue specialty license plates for |
|
|
county officials. The license plates must include the words "County |
|
|
Official." |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2016. |
