A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the service retirement annuity of certain state |
|
|
employees. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 814.105, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: |
|
|
(e) Notwithstanding any other law, the service retirement |
|
|
annuity for service credited in the employee class of membership |
|
|
for a member who was not a member on the date hired, was hired on or |
|
|
after September 1, 2015, and is eligible to retire may not exceed |
|
|
the gross salary of a member of the United States armed forces on |
|
|
active duty at the pay grade of O-10 as defined by 37 U.S.C. Section |
|
|
201(a). |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
