A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to vaccines authorized under the adult safety net |
|
|
vaccination program. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 161.01035(b), Health and Safety Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(b) The department shall ensure that eligible health care |
|
|
providers participating in the vaccines for children program or the |
|
|
adult safety net vaccination program may select any licensed |
|
|
vaccine, including combination vaccines and any dosage forms that: |
|
|
(1) are recommended by the federal Advisory Committee |
|
|
on Immunization Practices; and |
|
|
(2) are made available to the department by the |
|
|
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the United States |
|
|
Public Health Service[; and
|
|
|
[(3)
for adult vaccines, are on the
|
|
|
department-approved list of vaccines offered by the adult safety
|
|
|
net vaccination program]. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
