A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to certain bonuses offered to certain correctional |
|
|
officers employed by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 659, Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 659.0156 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 659.0156. BONUS PAYMENT TO CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS |
|
|
EMPLOYED BY TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE. If the Texas |
|
|
Department of Criminal Justice agrees to pay a bonus to a |
|
|
correctional officer for accepting work at a correctional facility, |
|
|
the bonus must be paid in four equal installments with the officer's |
|
|
regular pay for the officer's 1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th month of |
|
|
employment at the facility. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
