A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the director and assistant director of the Texas |
|
|
Military Preparedness Commission. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 436.057, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsections (a-1), (b), and (d) to read as follows: |
|
|
(a-1) The commission shall hire an assistant director to |
|
|
assist the director in the performance of the administrative duties |
|
|
of the commission. |
|
|
(b) Either the director or the assistant director must be |
|
|
recently retired from the armed forces with a rank of colonel or |
|
|
above in the army, marines, or air force or captain or above in the |
|
|
navy or coast guard. |
|
|
(d) The director may not hold another position in the office |
|
|
of the governor. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
