A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a transportation allotment for a school district |
|
|
transporting students to dual credit courses. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 42.155, Education Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (m) to read as follows: |
|
|
(m) In determining the regular transportation allotment for |
|
|
a school district under Subsection (c), the commissioner shall |
|
|
include transportation provided by the district for a student |
|
|
attending a dual credit course during the school day, including |
|
|
transportation from one campus to another inside the district and |
|
|
transportation from the district to another public secondary school |
|
|
or public institution of higher education. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
