A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to fees imposed for the operation of amusement rides. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 2151.052(a), Occupations Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) The commissioner shall establish reasonable and |
|
|
necessary fees[,] in amounts sufficient to generate the revenue |
|
|
necessary to cover the annual cost of administering this chapter. |
|
|
The [an] amount of a fee may not [to] exceed $40 per year[,] for any |
|
|
[each] amusement ride covered by this chapter. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
