A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to fees of office for the Velasco Drainage District. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 44, Acts of the 57th Legislature, 3rd |
|
|
Called Session, 1962, is amended by adding Section 3A to read as |
|
|
follows: |
|
|
Sec. 3A. (a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), a |
|
|
Supervisor is entitled to receive fees of office in accordance with |
|
|
Section 49.060, Water Code. |
|
|
(b) Notwithstanding Section 49.060(a-1), Water Code, the |
|
|
District may not set the annual limit on the fees of office that a |
|
|
Supervisor may receive in a year at an amount greater than $12,000. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
