A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the hours for the sale of liquor. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 105.01(a), Alcoholic Beverage Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) Except as provided in Sections 105.02, 105.03, 105.04, |
|
|
and 105.08, no person may sell, offer for sale, or deliver any |
|
|
liquor: |
|
|
(1) on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas |
|
|
Day; |
|
|
(2) on Sunday; [or] |
|
|
(3) before 9 [10] a.m. or after 9 p.m. on Saturday; or |
|
|
(4) before 10 a.m. or after 9 p.m. on any other day. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
