A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the appraisal for ad valorem tax purposes of qualified |
|
|
timber land. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 23.75, Tax Code, is amended by adding |
|
|
Subsection (g-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(g-1) If the chief appraiser requests that an applicant |
|
|
submit a written management plan as part of the application or makes |
|
|
such a request as part of a request for additional information under |
|
|
Section 23.79, the chief appraiser must provide the applicant with |
|
|
a comprehensive list of the public and private entities that |
|
|
provide professional forest management services to owners of land |
|
|
located in the appraisal district. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2016. |
