A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the distribution of funds to campuses in the Blinn |
|
|
Junior College District service area. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter G, Chapter 130, Education Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 130.1222 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 130.1222. BLINN JUNIOR COLLEGE DISTRICT; CAMPUS |
|
|
FUNDING. Each state fiscal biennium, the governing board of Blinn |
|
|
Junior College District shall direct a proportionate amount of the |
|
|
total amount of funds the district receives from tuition and fees |
|
|
and funds appropriated to the district based on contact hours to |
|
|
each district campus based on the percentage of the total amount of |
|
|
tuition and fees collected at that campus. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies |
|
|
beginning with the state fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2017. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
