A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the use of high occupancy vehicle lanes by motor |
|
|
vehicles displaying license plates issued to veterans with |
|
|
disabilities. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 504.202, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (j) to read as follows: |
|
|
(j) A motor vehicle displaying license plates issued under |
|
|
this section may use any high occupancy vehicle lane in this state |
|
|
regardless of the number of occupants in the vehicle unless the use |
|
|
would violate federal transit or highway funding restrictions. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
