A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the release of election judges' and clerks' contact |
|
|
information. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

|
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 32, Election Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 32.076 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 32.076. CONFIDENTIALITY OF E-MAIL ADDRESS AND PHONE |
|
|
NUMBER. An e-mail address or personal phone number of an election |
|
|
judge or clerk collected or maintained by the authority conducting |
|
|
the election is confidential and does not constitute public |
|
|
information for purposes of Chapter 552, Government Code. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
