AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the naming by the Texas Historical Commission of |
|
|
certain areas without historical value that are on historic sites. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 442, Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 442.030 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 442.030. NAMING OF CERTAIN AREAS ON HISTORIC |
|
|
SITES. The commission may name an area of a historic site, |
|
|
including a room or exhibition hall, in honor of a donor or other |
|
|
benefactor as the commission considers appropriate, provided the |
|
|
area does not have historical value. The commission shall adopt |
|
|
rules to implement this section. |
|
|
SECTION 2. As soon as practicable after the effective date |
|
|
of this Act, the Texas Historical Commission shall adopt rules |
|
|
necessary to implement Section 442.030, Government Code, as added |
|
|
by this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
