A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to the naming by the Texas Historical Commission of
  certain areas without historical value that are on historic sites.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 442, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 442.030 to read as follows:
         Sec. 442.030.  NAMING OF CERTAIN AREAS ON HISTORIC
  SITES.  The commission may name an area of a historic site,
  including a room or exhibition hall, in honor of a donor or other
  benefactor as the commission considers appropriate, provided the
  area does not have historical value. The commission shall adopt
  rules to implement this section.
         SECTION 2.  As soon as practicable after the effective date
  of this Act, the Texas Historical Commission shall adopt rules
  necessary to implement Section 442.030, Government Code, as added
  by this Act.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
