A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the availability of state agency contracting |
|
|
information on the comptroller's Internet website. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 403.024, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(b-1) For each contract entered into by a state agency, the |
|
|
database of state expenditures at a minimum must include: |
|
|
(1) the date the contract was signed; |
|
|
(2) the expiration date or projected completion date |
|
|
of the contract; |
|
|
(3) a description of the goods or services purchased |
|
|
or the purpose of the contract; and |
|
|
(4) the value of the contract. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|
|
to a contract entered into or renewed on or after the effective date |
|
|
of this Act. A contract entered into or renewed before the |
|
|
effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect |
|
|
immediately before that date, and that law is continued in effect |
|
|
for that purpose. |

SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
