A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the authority of a county clerk to charge a reasonable |
|
|
fee for services for which a fee is not otherwise prescribed. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 118.011(c), Local Government Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) The clerk shall charge a ten dollar fee for performing |
|
|
other duties [prescribed or authorized by statute
|
|
|
] for which a fee |
|
|
is not prescribed by this subchapter. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
