A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the appropriation of money from the economic |
|
|
stabilization fund for maintenance, renovation, and repair of |
|
|
certain state buildings. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. In addition to other amounts appropriated to the |
|
|
Texas Facilities Commission for the state fiscal biennium ending |
|
|
August 31, 2017, $500 million is appropriated out of the economic |
|
|
stabilization fund to the Texas Facilities Commission for that |
|
|
state fiscal biennium for purposes of providing general building |
|
|
maintenance for, and renovating and repairing, state buildings for |
|
|
which the commission provides facilities management services under |
|
|
Section 2165.007, Government Code, or under the terms of a |
|
|
memorandum of understanding. Maintenance, renovation, and repairs |
|
|
for which money appropriated under this section may be used |
|
|
includes maintenance, renovation, and repairs of electrical, |
|
|
mechanical, plumbing, and sewer systems. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015, but only |
|
|
if the Act receives a vote of two-thirds of the members present in |
|
|
each house of the legislature, as provided by Section 49-g(m), |
|
|
Article III, Texas Constitution. |
