A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the establishment of a publicly accessible database |
|
|
containing information on materials and products used in the |
|
|
construction of wastewater projects. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 26, Water Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Section 26.054 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 26.054. MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS DATABASE. (a) The |
|
|
commission shall create and maintain on an Internet website a |
|
|
publicly accessible database of information about the testing and |
|
|
validation of materials and products used in the construction of |
|
|
wastewater projects. |
|
|
(b) The commission may coordinate the creation and |
|
|
maintenance of the database described in Subsection (a) with a |
|
|
college or department of engineering at an institution of higher |
|
|
education, as that term is defined by Section 61.003, Education |
|
|
Code. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
