A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the compensation of the board of directors of the Brazos |
|
|
Valley Groundwater Conservation District. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 8835.054, Special District Local Laws |
|
|
Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 8835.054. COMPENSATION; EXPENSES. (a) Sections |
|
|
36.060(a), (b), and (d), Water Code, do not apply to the district. |
|
|
(b) A director is [not] entitled to receive compensation for |
|
|
serving as a director of not more than $10 a day for each day the |
|
|
director actually spends performing the duties of a director. The |
|
|
fees of office may not exceed $150 a year. |
|
|
(c) [(b)] A director may be reimbursed for actual, |
|
|
reasonable expenses incurred in discharging official duties. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
