A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the dedication of certain fee revenue to automobile |
|
|
burglary and theft prevention and establishing a trust fund for the |
|
|
deposit of that revenue. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 10(e), Article 4413(37), Revised |
|
|
Statutes, is amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(e) Fifty percent of each fee collected under Subsection (b) |
|
|
shall be deposited to the credit of a trust fund in the state |
|
|
treasury. Money in the trust fund may be appropriated only to the |
|
|
authority for the purposes of this article. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2015 |
